Ingredients:
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
4 Tbs. butter
1 c. creamy Peanut Butter
6 c. Special K cereal
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips
In a medium saucepan on medium heat, combine the sugar, syrup and the butter. Heat until the mixture comes to a rolling boil. Turn the heat down and continue to boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the peanut butter until the mixture becomes creamy and thick. Pour the mixture over the cereal in a large bowl and stir to combine. Press into a 9x13 pan that has either been sprayed with non stick cooking spray, or lined with parchment paper or tinfoil for easy removal.
Combine the chocolate and butterscotch chips in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. Stir. Heat for another 30 seconds and stir again, making sure everything is a smooth consistency. Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture and spread evenly. Cool in the refrigerator for a few hours and then cut into bars.
