Pecan Pie "Soda"



Ingredients:
2 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. toasted chopped pecans
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice
pinch of salt

Bring all of the ingredients to a boil on the stove. Reduce to simmer and cook for 10 more minutes. Let cool fully before pouring into four glasses. Fill them with ice, and garnish with a few pecans.  Tastes just like pecan pie! If you want an alcoholic version, add a shot of whiskey!
