Snickerdoodle Leaves

Ingredients:
1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Frosting:
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. powdered sugar
3 1/2 tsp. milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla with a pastry blender until well combined. Lightly flour the counter or your work surface. Roll the dough into 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out the dough with a leaf shaped cookie cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet (they don't expand much while looking, so don't worry about them being too close). Bake for 12 minutes or until set. Remove from the cookie sheet on cool on a wire rack. In the meantime, combine the frosting ingredients in a small bowl. I made the mistake of piping when the cookies weren't all the way cool yet, so make sure you let them cool fully before piping the frosting on.
