Baked Cream Cheese Wontons


4 oz. light cream cheese, room temperature
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 green onions, chopped
1 Tbs. fresh grated ginger
1 tsp. sesame oil
1/8 tsp. pepper
20 wonton wrappers
1 egg, whisked

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix together the cream cheese, garlic, onion, ginger, sesame oil and pepper with a fork until well combined. Lay out your wonton wrappers and place about 1 1/2 tsp. cream cheese mixture in the middle. Using your finger (or a pastry brush) line the edges of the wonton wrapper with egg wash. Bring two of the corners together up over the cream cheese, and then the other two up to form a pocket shape. Place on a greased baking sheet, spray with non stick cooking spray and bake for 9-11 minutes until the tops and bottom are golden brown.
