Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 1/4 c. broken pretzel pieces, plus whole pretzels for on top
1/2 c. caramel bits
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray and line an 8 inch circle cake pan with parchment paper. Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla together in a bowl with a spatula until the brown sugar is fully dissolved. Add the flour, pretzel pieces and caramel bits and stir just until combined ( you do not want to over-mix the batter). Pour into the prepared pan. Decorate the top with the remaining whole pretzels (you can skip this step, it is just for presentation). Bake in the oven for 25-28 minutes or until the middle bounces back when you press gently on the top (a toothpick won't work because the middle is supposed to be slightly sticky and brownie like). Let cool for at least 10 minutes in the pan before removing from the pan and cooling on a wire rack.
