Strawberry Malted Milk Ball Cupcakes

Ingredients:

1 box strawberry cake mix (Pillsbury)
(including ingredients on back of box)
24 malted milk balls (plus more for garnish if you want)
1 container whipped cream cheese frosting (or home made)
Pink gel food dye
Brown Jimmie sprinkles

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the box cake mix with the ingredients included on the back of the box. Prepare cupcake tins with paper liners. Fill the liners about 1/2 of the way full. Place a malted milk ball in the center of each and push down slightly. Bake for the amount of time stated on the back of the box. Remove from the oven and let cool fully on a wire rack.

While the cupcakes cool, prepare your piping bag with your desired tip. Using a pastry brush or paint brush, make neon pink lines (using the gel dye) in the inside of the bag going down to the tip. Spoon the cream cheese frosting into the bag carefully and pipe onto the cupcakes. Top the cupcakes with brown sprinkles and or a half of a malted milk ball.
